Welcome, traveler, to Quaternion Creations, where magic and creativity come together to bring you unique and whimsical cross stitch designs!
I am Maria, the designer behind QC, and I specialize in mythical and fairytale-ish cross stitch patterns that are inspired by the worlds of fantasy and wonder. My main themes are powerful goddesses and female figures from all over the world, folklore, and fairy tales; and the quite beauty of nature, with its quiet corners, intertwined branches over mossy blankets, and forest inhabitants. I am also are absolutely in love with dragons and other mythical and forgotten creatures!
Quaternion Creations is named after a mathematical concept of a Quaternion, which is an extension of a complex number (or a quotient of two vectors). It was one of the things that I found beautiful and aesthetic when getting my math education, so in a way it is a mix of my geekiness and my sense of beauty 🌱🌱🌱 And if you’re struggling to memorize the name, use Quarter Onions as a mnemonic rule!
